Fun Things to Do this Month of November

As we bid October goodbye and the holiday season almost in full swing, we now welcome the month of November with excitement and open arms.  If you are looking for things to do this month, here are 8 fun activities to keep yourself busy for the next 30 days.

1. Redecorate your living space.

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to change the spooky decorations and replace them with Thanksgiving and Christmas decorations.  It’s never too early to decorate and feel the holiday spirit!

2. Enjoy Sunday football.

Now that football season is back, unwind with Sunday football complete with a bowl of your favorite game-time snacks and beer or even have friends and family over to make it even more fun.

3. Sign Up for Movember.

Movember is an annual that involves not shaving facial hair for the whole month of November.  The goal of this movement is to raise awareness of various cancers such as prostate cancer.  Sign up for this charity and help “change the face of men’s health”.

4. Don’t forget to vote.

Not sure if this is considered fun but make sure to practice your rights and cast your vote.  If you want to stay updated on the latest news on Election Day, Amazon’s virtual assistant can give you the latest updates.  With Alexa-enabled devices like Echo, Dot and Tap, you can ask about the election results without having to browse the internet or turn your TV.

5. Plan the perfect Thanksgiving party.

Make this year’s Thanksgiving party extra special by going all out complete with decorations, invitations, table settings, games and of course, a bountiful dinner.  Save on the decorations and invites by doing it yourself and using items from Mother Nature itself like pinecones, twigs and fall leaves.

6. Black Friday shopping.

You can get Black Friday deals without having to deal with mall crowds and traffic jams.  You can find a lot of Cyber Monday and Black Friday deals on your favorite e-commerce sites anyway.

7. Visit Food Festivals.

If you are a foodie, visit a local food festival or head to the nearest one if you want a new gastronomic experience.  From Wine and Beer festivals to Sea Food and Chocolate festivals, you’ll definitely find that fit your taste.  Click here to see the complete list of Food Festivals for the month of November.

8. Start with your gift list.

By the end of November, you should have already started with your gift list.  Don’t wait till the week before Christmas to start shopping for gifts! Want some gift ideas for your grandchildren?  Check out our favorites from Amazon’s Holiday Toy List for 2016.
